what now?!…
first off, merry crimbles and all that!
we all know this time of year can be… lovely, stressful, painful, expensive, lonely, always cold (in England) but I hope it was somehow enjoyable.
I had my usually girly pre-Christmas weekend with my mum that went too fast, looked at stuff I’d love to get everyone but then remembered I couldn’t afford, then felt guilty and bought random stuff instead. Now, one day back at work, the workshops have finished, I’ve eaten and drunken too much, still got new year to ‘do’ then proper reality… what now?
the exhibition was brilliant…
after all the upheaval and shifting, it all worked out for the best. We had a great exhibition where everyone got to display their work and invite friends, family and work got seen by the public. But what really happened is this…
people got to be creative, they created ‘something’ and they enjoyed it.
I’ve been so tired after getting all this together, which is expected and I’m not playing a little violin, I’m just saying, this is the first time I’ve had enough ‘umpf’ to even comment or document. my main feeling after the event was elation, and relief… ah, done. I’ve had some crimbo time to myself but I know I have to now keep going. This scares me this bit…
but, I didn’t think I could get this much off the ground. so lets see what’s next.
Also I realised, I didn’t share the old ‘Big Sleep Out’ with you that I did for Framework, the quilt was exhibited at the CQ pop up shop and it was gorgeous…
The Big Sleep Out 2013-Framework
good…not as cold as it could have been, terrible shelter building on my behalf, mine and Leah’s bed fell down as soon as we got into it, but between us we made a couple of hundred quid for Framework homeless charity and had a laugh.
I’m gonna have my head in the books and computer for a bit in the new year to try and figure out the next move, so if you don’t hear from me, that’s where I’ll be…like what Santa’s probably doing this time of year…unless he’s in the Bahamas and some elf is doin that biz! I need an elf…what next?
