Roots & Seams workshops were for families and individuals to explore and share their personal and cultural histories through the medium of textiles and crafts.
Nottingham and St Ann’s have a rich diversity of people and cultures that span over many generations. To celebrate this we provided five weeks of workshops to explore textiles and sewing techniques from all over the world. People were encouraged and supported to share their skills with the group and to pass skills onto their children and peers. All ages were welcome to facilitate the cross-generation learning approach and skill share.
